January Native Plant Demonstration and Discussion

In the January demonstration, a small team of experienced members transformed a group of three coastal tea trees root over rock style to a group of five.  The height of two of the trees and the layout angle were also adjusted during repotting.  Further fine tuning is proposed and the group will be on display at a future meeting.

Several other native trees were on display and featured in an interesting discussion about growing native plants as bonsai.

New members are welcome and should approach the Society for further information - see email address above or come to the monthly meeting nights and ask to see the Membership Secretary.

Display Trees at the AGM

2011 Annual General Meeting

The final meeting for 2011 was the Bonsai Society of Victoria’s Annual General Meeting. The formal side of the evening saw the existing committee re-elected for 2012. There were no new nominations so the committee stays the same. The remainder of the evening was spent enjoying a fantastic supper supplied by the members.

Thanks to everyone for a great night.
